After
Boyce’s discussion of the overview, Androli moved to set the 2007 preliminary
levy for $9,153,324, with a rise of 7.5% over last year. Ruhland seconded the motion. Discussion on possible cuts followed. The motion failed by the following roll
call: Androli, yes; Armstrong, no;
Peterson, no; Ruhland, yes; and Morris, no.
Armstrong
moved and Ruhland seconded the motion to adopt the 2007 preliminary budget of
$26,437,381 and a proposed preliminary county levy of $9,338,640. The motion carried by the following roll
call: Armstrong, yes; Androli, no;
Peterson, yes; Ruhland, yes; and Morris, yes.
This is a 9.6% rise over last year.

RESOLUTION
DESIGNATION OF DEPOSITORIES
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 118 requires Waseca County to designate a notional, insured state bank or thrift institution as depository of funds; and
WHEREAS, Waseca County has designated First National Bank, a FDIC insured depository institution, as depository of its public funds pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 118; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, section 118.05 requires the depository to assign collateral security for deposits in excess of available federal deposit insurance; and
WHEREAS, the Waseca County Treasurer has the authority to designate institutions in the County as depositories and to approve the collateral for such depositories.
NOW
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Waseca County Board of Commissioners hereby
approves the Security Agreement for the Deposit of Public Funds between the
Waseca County Treasurer and First National Bank of

Lewer, Public Health Director, requested an increase to homemaker rates, as per
the Department of Health guidelines.
Ruhland moved and Androli seconded the motion to approve a 2.255%
increase in the homemaker rates effective on
Androli moved and Armstrong seconded the motion to authorize the chair to sign the Flu Stop contract with Blue Cross Blue Shield. Motion carried unanimously.
