The Waseca County Emergency Management Office (http://wcem.co.waseca.mn.us) is responsible for the planning, coordination, and maintenance of the Waseca County Emergency Operations Plan. The EOP is the all hazards, all events response to any disaster that may strike Waseca County. The Emergency Management Director administers a county-wide emergency management program in those areas that do not have a local emergency management organization and coordinates and supports the activities of those local jurisdictions that have emergency management organizations. We assist in training local emergency management personnel, including Skywarn tornado spotters, coordinates and supports emergency management functions of county governmental units assigned emergency management responsibilities. We coordinate response to actual disasters or emergencies, the logistics of federal/state field and survey teams, mitigation requests, and disaster assistance centers. We supervise professional, technical, and clerical staff, and perform related work as assigned. |
