mortgages and approximately 400 different real estate documents, all of
which are imaged and microfilmed in house.
Before a document can be recorded/filed, it must meet certain
requirements. Ø Originates
Certificates of Title conveying land under the Torrens Land System. Ø Files
liens on crops, machinery, household goods, boats, etc., providing searches
on liens, and entering liens into a statewide computer network for the
Uniform Commercial Code. Ø Records
military service discharges and issuing certified copies. Ø Files
county officials bonds, oaths of office, and federal and state tax liens. Ø Files
government corners.
