| Waseca County has an extensive Waste
Management Program available to the residents of Waseca County. Materials that
are brought out to the Recycling Center should be separated and clean. The materials that
are not recyclable will qualify as garbage. There is a charge for garbage, demolition,
tires, brush, oil filters, business fluorescent bulbs, appliances, cement,
and electronics. |
Waste Management Categories |

This consists of building debris, construction materials,
windows, doors, carpeting, cement, bricks, wood, metals, etc. |

Household trash |

Leaves, grass clippings, weeds, vines |

Limbs, logs, Christmas trees, prunings |

Tires, batteries, fluorescent bulbs, paint, appliances,
furniture, electronics, oil filters. |

Plastics, papers, glass, metals, cloths, cardboard, aluminum,
tin, magazines, phone books |

HAZARDOUS WASTES |
Many common household products, such as paints, solvents,
cleaning products, adhesives and pesticides can be hazardous to humans, animals and
at the
environment when improperly disposed. Waseca County
accepts these hazardous products in the summer months. Our Haz
schedule is: May thru Sept., on Wednesdays and the 2nd & 4th Saturdays.
Wednesdays from 8am to 3pm and on the Saturdays 8am to Noon.
We only accept hazardous materials from
residents of Waseca County, we can no accepts wastes from businesses.
Our facility also operates an exchange program for paints, and the like.
You do not need to bring materials out to utilize the exchange shelves, the
products we have on the shelves are good useable. Although we ca not
guarantee the products, you are able to open the cans and see what you are
getting. |
| SPECIAL WASTES |
These materials are required by Minnesota State Law
to be recycled. In most cases, citizens must pay to recycle these items. Charges vary with
the place of business and type of material. |
