- Veteran Services
Good morning everyone,
Due to the fact that our demographic of patrons in Waseca Countyis predominantly 65 and older, to help prevent the possible infection and spread of the COVID-19 virus, Veteran Services will be making the following changes to daily practices.
1. Veteran Services will be taking phone appointments only until April 1st.
2. We will be encouraging all van riders to reschedule appointments.
3. The Memorial Plaques applications need to be submitted by March 15, 2023, to be installed by Memorial Day.
With all that said we do understand that there are veterans that have very specific, and difficult to schedule appts, we will work with them to help facilitate transportation. There are some that have treatments that are required to treat illness that would otherwise kill them(i.e. cancer treatments, dialysis, ect). We will work with them as well to help facilitate transportation.
The VA is currently screening patients at the door and only have one entrance open. We do not want to put anyone at risk however we also understand that medical treatment is just as important.
Thank you all for your patience and understanding during this time.
