Programs and Resources
Waseca County Court Services is proud to offer many resources to the community beyond the core services. The following services are provided for community benefit.
Electronic Monitoring:
Waseca County Court Services utilizes a number of monitoring systems for electronic monitoring. We operate an in-house SCRAM program, along with referring to an outside vender for additional services including: house arrest, Remote Electronic Alcohol Monitoring (REAM) and GPS monitoring.
Thinking for a Change (T4C):
Thinking for a Change is an integrated cognitive behavioral change program for offenders that includes cognitive restructuring, social skills development, and development of problem solving skills. Court Services offers this program on an as needed basis. For information on the program schedule contact Court Services.
Sentence to Serve (STS):
STS is a sentencing alternative for Courts that put carefully selected offenders to work on community improvement projects. Supervised STS crews work in parks and other public areas.
Restorative Justice Fund:
The Restorative Justice Fund is a program in which juvenile offenders have the opportunity to work off their restitution by completing community work service.
Adopt a Highway Program:
Court Services manages this public service program to allow clients to complete community work service hours by cleaning up roadside ditches on a designated stretch of highway in Waseca County.
Juvenile Diversion Program:
In conjunction with the County Attorney's Office, Court Services performs an intake and supervision function with adolescents alleged to have committed minor offenses. This program is offered to juveniles in lieu of court processing.
